It is an elongated, asymmetrical triangular shawl with a curved top edge. This is a simple mosaic pattern, easy to knit even by somebody who has no experience with color work. Mosaic is one of the fun, magical color-work techniques. It looks like a lot of work, but only one color is worked at a time, and the pattern is created simply by slipping the stitches in the other color you are not working. yah, you betcha!!!

Yarn:
Main Color (MC): 400 yards, 1 skein
Contrast Color 1 (CC1):  300 yards, 1 skein 
Two mini-skeins in 1 color. (CC2) 38g 

Needles: US 4/ 3.5mm, US 6/4mm for bind off

Notions: Stitch markers (optional, but good for marking repeats), Tapestry needle, T-pins and blocking wires for blocking

Gauge: 24 stitches = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch although gauge is not crucial for this project, it will affect the finished size and yarn requirements. A looser gauge will result in the use of more yarn.

Finished measurements: 80” x 19” deep Measurements taken after blocking.

Construction: This is an asymmetrical shawl worked from edge to edge. It begins with a small number of stitches. Increases and decreases are used to create the shape of the shawl as it expands in width.
