Mosaic knitting! This is one of my favorite ways to play with combining colors, and is a simple technique for even newer knitters to try out! If you can slip sts, knit and purl - then you can do Mosaic knitting!

Size US 4/3.5 mm - 16”/40 cm circular
Size US 4/3.5 mm - DPNs (or a longer circular for Magic Loop)
Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge.
