Hera and Zeus may not have been the most loving romance of all time, but they certainly were and interesting couple. Zeus loved women and was a world class flirt with a long history of dalliances.  But one goddess denied him.  It was his sister Hera.  For years she rebuffed his advances.  She wanted nothing to do with a god who was a womanizer even though he was her brother  

Zeus grew tired of waiting and conjured a plan.  He tricked her by shifting into a cuckoo bird, careened into Hera's window, wet from a terrible storm.  She scooped up the bird and clutched it tight to her chest to warm it.  Zeus transformed himself back and made mad, passionate love to her.  Once again he proposed and this time she agreed.  A lavish wedding followed, and shortly afterwards he went back to his philandering ways.

Care of your hand knit garments  
Please hand wash cold or lukewarm water and lay flat to dry. Even though this yarn does contain superwash merino, I do always recommend that you hand wash your knitwear. We use colorfast acid dyes for dying our yarn, and rinse until water runs clear. There may be a chance that some dye may bleed slightly in the first wash of your finished item. This does sometimes happen for speckled yarn and stubborn colors that are prone to bleed. For the first couple of washes, hand wash separately to be sure that no further bleeding. 

There are no dye lots. We always try to sell from same dye lots but if not sure, we recommend blending the skeins as you work. Color saturation can differ from different dyelots.
