Textural Stitches
A portion of this cowl will be worked in textural stitches. These sections will be charted and include written instructions. I provide tutorials to help you through the textural stitches. This pattern includes stranded colorwork. In fact, most of this pattern will be worked in stranded colorwork. The Haunted House Cowl is intended for intermediate knitters who are comfortable with stranded colorwork. All colorwork is done in the round and you will never need to carry more than two colors at a time.
SIZE
ONE SIZE : Adult
The overall shape & size of this cowl is NOT part of the mystery. This will be a shawl-shaped COWL. This is my absolute favorite shape for knitting a cowl. This shape is wonderfully wearable, and it is PERFECT for working colorwork in the round. If you have never knit one of my shawl-shaped cowls, check out the Little Leftovers , the Quiet Thicket, or the Stocking Stuffer cowls.

Care of your hand knit garments
Please hand wash cold or lukewarm water and lay flat to dry. Even though this yarn does contain superwash merino, I do always recommend that you hand wash your knitwear. We use colorfast acid dyes for dying our yarn, and rinse until water runs clear. There may be a chance that some dye may bleed slightly in the first wash of your finished item. This does sometimes happen for speckled yarn and stubborn colors that are prone to bleed. For the first couple of washes, hand wash separately to be sure that no further bleeding.
There are no dye lots. We always try to sell from same dye lots but if not sure, we recommend blending the skeins as you work. Color saturation can differ from different dyelots.
