A Mother’s Love
A Mother’s Love
Demeter was a mom. We all know the story of her daughter Persephone. The emergence of spring and summer signals Persephone’s return to her mother and the world of the living. But the story is also about motherhood and the necessary pain of letting a child go so that she can fully become herself.
Mothering is difficult, especially when you have to let the child go. Motherhood and the continuous interplay between separation and reunification, breaking apart to come together again, and all the grief and joy in between makes mothering one of the hardest jobs there is. And like Demeter and Persephone’s story, we look forward to the next season of coming together with our children.
Happy Mother’s Day to every mom out there. We can never thank our moms enough for everything they’ve done and continue to do for us. One day a year isn’t enough to celebrate motherhood and everything our moms do for us. Mothers want kind words and sincere appreciation for doing their best at being the best mother they can be every day.
Enjoy your day Moms! You deserve it today and every day!

Care of your hand knit garments
Please hand wash cold or lukewarm water and lay flat to dry. Even though this yarn does contain superwash merino, I do always recommend that you hand wash your knitwear. We use colorfast acid dyes for dying our yarn, and rinse until water runs clear. There may be a chance that some dye may bleed slightly in the first wash of your finished item. This does sometimes happen for speckled yarn and stubborn colors that are prone to bleed. For the first couple of washes, hand wash separately to be sure that no further bleeding.
There are no dye lots. We always try to sell from same dye lots but if not sure, we recommend blending the skeins as you work. Color saturation can differ from different dyelots.
